A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of El Segundo,
California, was called to order at 7 :00 o'clock -P. 11. on the above date, in the
Council Chamber of the City iiall of said City by Peter D. Binder, President of
the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Present: Anderson, Grow, Love and Binder.
Trustees Absent: Cannon.

The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 18th day'of December, 1925,
were read without error or omission appearing, and it was moved by Trustee Love,
seconded by Trustee `3erow, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried.
'i'_he minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of December 24th, 1925, were
read. No errors or omissions appearing they were approved as read upon motion
of Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Love, which carried.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on the 26th day of
December, 1925, were read without error or omission being noted. It was moved
by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the minutes be approved as read.
Carried.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on the 30th day of
December, 1925, were read. No errors or omission being noted, it was moved by
Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Love, that the minutes be approved as read.
Carried.
The minutes of the meeting of January 2nd, 1926, were read without error
or omission appearing and were approved as read upon Notion of Trustee Gerow,
seconded by Trustee Love, which carried.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on the 4th day of
anuary, 1926, were read. No errors or omissions being noted, it was moved by
Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the minutes be approved as read.
Carried.

On motion of Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Gerow, which carried, the
Board ratified and approved the election of said members of the a Segundo
Volunteer sire Department to the respective offices of said Department.

to represent the City of El Jegundo on a Committee being organized by the
;.:ayor of Los Angeles, for the purpose of attempting to solve the telephone rate
problem in Southern California, a meeting of which Committee is to be held at
the Sall Room of the Alexandria hotel, January 12th, 1926 at 8:00 o'clock P. lt•

STAYDAIRD OIL CO:: iTY, being its Contract i:o. 58, respecting the rental
of a TcCormick disk harrow to the City of El Segundo. Ordered filed.
The Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce announced that representatives
of certain of the -railway systems operating in Los Angeles and vicinity had
requested a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce to be held in the near future
for the purpose of discussing the Los Angeles Union Station problem, and that
said Meeting would be called Tuesday, Jan. 12th, 1926, which meeting the 3oard
of 'rustees may attend. '
Trustee 3inder asked to be excused from the meeting at this time, the
hour being 8 :30 o'clock P. :=•, which request ivas granted, and on motion duly
made, seconded and carried, Trusteeerow was chosen as President pro tem and
innediately assumed the duties of the President.

The City Engineer, reporting concerning; the cost of increasing the
heigd'it of the muni— pal warehouse now in course of construction, which Mould be
necessary if the floor level of said building is raised 6" in conformity with
the recommendations of the 'Street Superintendent, stated that the change could
be made for ,"175.00 additional. -To definite action was taken.
The Street :;uperinterdent reported favorably upon the a-t,plication of
the Pacific Telephoners Telegraph Company for the erection of four 35 ft. poles
in accordance with their application filed with the Board at its last regular
reeting and referred to said Street Superintendent for recorriendation. It was
thereupon moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Anderson that the Pacific
Telephone w '- olegraph Company be and they are hereby granted permission to erect
one pole on the South side of Grand Avenue bet•rreen whiting itreet and the Alley
,:est thereof and three 35 foot poles and ore anchor on the '• est side of the Alley
lest of :�hitinC. Street between Grand Avenue and Frani�lin .venue., All of such
work to be prosecuted and completed to the satisfaction of the Street Superintendent
of the City of El Segundo. Carried by the following vote:

Reiser Company be and they are hereby granted permission to maintain a
billboard at the orthilest corner of 1 Segundo Avenue and '!Rain Street within
the City of 31 Segundo, for the period of one year, beginning January 1st,
1926 in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance 1To. 45 of the City of
, Segundo, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to prepare such hermit
in accordance with the provisions of said ordinance. Carried.

The City Engineer presented to the Board for approval, a map of Tract No.6968
said Tract being a subdivision of Lot 2, Block 95, El Segundo Sheet No. 3, in
the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per
map recorded in Book 20, pages 22 and 23 of Maps, on file in the office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, requesting that the same be
approved by the Board of Trustees. Said map was examined by the Board and found
to conform to future street openings contemplated by said Board and to be
satisfactory in other respects, whereupon it was moved by Trustee Love, seconded
by Trustee rnderson, that the following resolution be adopted:

City of El Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, has been submitted to this Board for approval; and

approved the same;
