El Segundo, Cal. December 23, 1926.
An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, was called to order at 4:40 o'clock P. M. on the above
date, in the Council Chamber of the City Ball of said City, by Peter E.
Binder, President of the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Present: Gerow, Love and Binder.
Trustees Absent: Cannon and Krimmel.
By general consent the regular order of business was dispensed with.
The City Clerk announced receipt of certain grants of easement for
sanitary and /or storm sewer purposes over and across certain real property along
the Pacific Electric right -of -way within the City of El Segundo. It was thereupon
moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by,Trustee Love that the following resolution
be adopted:
RESOLVED, that that certain Grant of Easement dated December
17th, 1926, executed by Juanita A. Starr, conveying to the City
of E1 Segundo a Grant of Easement for sanitary and /or storm
sewer purposes in, over, across and /or along that certain piece
or parcel of land, situated, lying and being within the City of
E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, and
particularly described as follows, to -wit:
All of that portion of Lot 1, Block 39, as
said lot and block are shown upon that certain
map of E1 Segundo Sheet No. 7, recorded in Book
22, pages 54-55 of Maps, records of Los Angeles
County, California, and on file in the office
of the County Recorder of said county; lying
between the northerly line of said lot and a
line drawn seven and one -half (7 -1/2) feet,
measured at right - angles, southerly of and
parallel to said northerly line,
be and the same is hereby accepted on behalf of the City of E1
Segundo and the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to cause
to be affixed to said instrument his sertificate, showing the
acceptance of the same and thereafter to cause the said instrument
to be filed for record;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a warrant in the sum of $56.10
as compensation for said easement be drawn payable to the order of
said Juanita Starr;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that those certain Grants of
Easement dated December 11th, 1926, executed by Edwin A. Tinch and
Geraldine C. Tinch, husband and wife, and James M. Mauzey and
Gwendolen 0. Muzey, husband and wife, conveying to the City of
E1 Segundo Grants of Easement for sanitary and/or storm sewer
purposes in, over, across and /or along those certain pieces or
parcels of land situated, lying and being within the City of E1
Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, and particularly
described as follows, to -wit:
All of that portion of Lot 3, Block 39, as said
lot and block are shown upon that certain map of
E1 Segundo Sheet No. 7, recorded in Book 22,
pages 54-55 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County,
California, and on file in the office of the County
Recorder of said County, lying between the Northerly
line of said lot and a line drawn seven and one -half
(7 -1/2) feet, measured at right angles, southerly of
and parallel to said northerly line,

lot and block are shown upon that certain map of
E1 Segundo Sheet No. 7, recorded in Book 22,
pages 54-55 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County,
California, and on file in the office of the County
Recorder of said county, lying between the northerly
line of said lot and a line drawn seven and one -half
(7 -1/2) feet, measured at right angles, southerly of
and parallel to said northerly line,
be and the same are hereby accepted on behalf of the City of E1
Segundo and the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to cause
to be affixed to said instruments his certificate, showing the
acceptance of the same and thereafter to cause the said instruments
to be filed for record;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVE, that a warrant in the sum of 439.80
as compensation for said easements be drawn payable to the order of
said grantors.
Said resolution was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gerow, Love and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustees Cannon and Krimmel.
The Clerk advised that Mr. W. H. Lennon had complained of the condition
of the alley west of Whiting Street and south of Holly Avenue, as well as a
portion of Holly Avenue west of Whiting Street and by general consent the matter
was referred to the Street Superintendent for attention.
The Clerk advised also that Mr. C. T. Ainsworth had complained of the
condition of certain streets in the east acreage in the vicinity of Center and
Mariposa Avenue, Center Street and Palm Avenue and California Street and
Mariposa Avenue and stated that a little patching would remedy the conditions
complained of. It was thereupon moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee
Love that the Street Superintendent be and he is hereby authorized to condition
the intersections of Center Street and Mariposa Avenue, Center Street and
Palm Avenue, also California Street near Mariposa Avenue. Carried by the
following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gerow, Love and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustees Cannon and Krimmel.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was
moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the meeting adjourn.
Carried.
