n adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
EZ Segundo, California, was called to order at 4:40 o'clock P. M. on the above
date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City by Peter B. Binder,
President of the Board.

Loved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the following .
resolution be adopted:
vAJEREAS, from time to time applications are made for the rental
of certain of the machinery and equipment of the Street Department
of the City of E1 Segundo; and
r7' S, there are times when all of the machinery of said
Department is not in use and will be available for rental rnzrposes;
NOW THERF ORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Street Superintendent
of the City of E1 Segundo be and he is hereby authorized to rent
the grader and disc plow of the City of El Segundo to persons,
firms or corporations requesting the same, on a rental basis of
$1.00 each per day, provided, however, that before any of such
equipment be delivered to any renters, they shall have first
prepaid to the City Clerk a sum sufficient to fully compensate
for the total rental which may accrue owing to the use of said
equipment, and provided further, that such renters shall d @posit
with the said Street Superintendent a bond or cash in sufficient
size or amount, guaranteeing to indemnify the city for any loss
or damage which may be sustained by any of such equipment during
any rental period.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Cannon, Gerow, Krimmel and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Love.
The resignation of Helen K. Brock as Director of Publicity, to become
effective at the close of business August 31st, 1926, was filed with the Board.
It was moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Krimmel, that the following
resolution be adopted:
RESOLVED, that the resignation of 'Helen K. Brock as Director
of Publicity of the City of El Segundo, filed with this Board this

date, be and the s=e is hereby accepted as of the close
of business August 31st, 1926, and that after said date and
until the further order of this Board, no compensation
shall be paid to Helen K. Brock or to any other person as
Director of Publicity of the City of E1 Segundo.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Cannon, Gerow, Krimmel and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Love.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this session,
it was moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the
meeting adjourn until Wednesday, the first day of September, 1926, at the
hour of 4 :40 o'clock P. W. Carried.
