was called to order at 7 ;00 o'clock P. :.'. on the above date, in the Council Chamber
of the City 'Tall of said City, by Peter Binder, 'resident of the Board.

The following corny nications were read and disposed of as indicated:

customary rental charge of w15.00 per month for the use of the
said Auditoriun on the said four Tuesday nights.

The consideration of the bids received on October 9th, 1925, for
furnishing the City of 1;1 Segundo mechanical equipment for trunk line
sewer system in and for the City of •:1 Segundo, California, having heretofore,
on the 9th day of October, 1925, been set for the hour of 7 :15 o'clock P. 11.
at this meeting, and said hour having arrived, the President announced that
the Board would suspend other business and proceed with the consideration
of all of the said bids.
Following recorsnendation as to awards, rude by i,. T. Hutchins, City
Zngineer and Koebig & Koebig, Consulting Engineers, the Board then gave
consideration to the various bids and the said recommendations. Whereunon
it was moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Anderson, that ?resolution
No. 111, entitled:

certain portion of Pine avenue, within the City of yl Segundo, California,
having heretofore, on the 9th day of October, 1925, been set for the hour
of 7s30 o'clock P. L*,. at this meeting, and said hour having arrived, it
was moved by '= rustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Cannon, that the board proceed
to take up the matter of the consideration of bids received on October 9th, 1925

and the awarding of the contract for doing; the said work. Carried.
The bids were then examined and duly considered by said Board, following
which it was moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that

Moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the Street Superin-
tendent be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to remove all structures or
obstacles, which encroach upon easements of the Oity of 31 Segundo in connection
with the construction of the trunk line sewer system of the City of B1 Segundo.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, -ove and Binder.
Noes: none.
Absent: None.
Moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Love, that the City Engineer
be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to employ a draftsman to assist with
the work in his office, said employee to be compensated at the rate of X1.00 per
hour. Carried by the following vote:

Moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that F. N. :.moans be and he
is hereby appointed to the office of Asst. Sewer Construction Inspector of the City
of :.1 Segundo, to assume the duties of his office on the 19th day of October, 1925.
In the discharge of his duties as such Sewer Construction Inspector, he shall be
under the supervision of the t'ity Engineer of the City of „1 Segundo, and until the
further order of this Board, he shall be compensated in full for all services
rendered as such Sewer Construction Inspector at the rate of 4170000 per month,
payable nonthly as other city salaries are paid. Carried by the following vote:

l'TJ''7U-AS, the President of the Board of Trustees of the City
of El Segundo has been advised that the Senate Committee on
Irrigation and Reclamation, Senator Chas. L. '?cllary, Chairman,
who have been authorized by the United States Senate to visit
and stud; the various cities, districts and communities in
California and Arizona affected by the proposed Colorado ='liver
Boulder Canyon improvement, will be in Los xngeles on October
26th and 27th, 1925, and that on the evening of October 27th,
1925, the said senators will be guests of the City of Los Angeles
at a banquet to be held at the Biltmore Hotel, Los Angeles, at
6 :30 o'clock P. 1 %; and
the President of the Board of Trustees and other
officers of the various cities and counties of Southern California
have been requested to be present;

are hereby authorized to attend the said banquet and to file
their demands for their expenses in connection therewith, at not
