At the hour of 7 :00 o'clock P. Me on the above date, in the Council Chamber of
the City Hall of the City of M Segundo, California, said time and place being the
regular time and place for holding regular meetings of the Board of Trustees, the
City Clerk was the only person present. The Clerk waited at the Council Chc:mber
for a period of fifteen Minutes, and no member of the Board of Trustees appearing,
the Clerk thereupon announced that the meeting stood adjourned until the first
d4y of June, 1925, at the hour of 4 :40 o'clock P. L.'.

An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of El
Segundo, California, was called to order at 4:40 o'clock P. Ile on the above date
in the Council Chamber of the City :call of said City by Peter R. Binder, President
of the Board.

The minutes of the regular meeting held on May 22nd, 1925, were read. No
errors or omissions appearing, it was roved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee
Cannon, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 29th day of .Ray, 1926, were
read without error or omission appearing and it was moved by Trustee Gerow,
seconded by Trustee Cannon, and carried, that the minutes be approved as read.
WRITTEN COLRC1XICATIONS.
The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated:
J. L. ROCKHOLD, Los Angeles County Surveyor, asking cooperation in the
preservation of United States Geological Survey Monuments or Government Bench
".•.arks, which may be located within the City of El Segundo. The matter was
referred to the City Engineer.
S. P. ADLYS, requesting permission to construct sidewalks along the west
side of Lots 7 and 8, 3lock 15, Z1 Segundo. It appearing that at the time of
filing said application several days ago, the applicant, unaware of the necessity
for halting a permit, had employed a contractor to prosecute the work,'and it
appearing at that time that a delay in the granting of the permit would be
embarrassing both to the contractor and to the property owner, several members of
the Board informally, by general consent, authorized the prosecution of the work
with the understanding that the action would be ratified at a later date. It was
thereupon moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Cannon, that the action
heretofore taken granting to S. P. Adams permit to construct sidewalk on the west
side of Lots 7 and 8, Block 15, Zl Segundo, be and the same is hereby ratified and
approved. Carried.

PACIFIC TMEPHOM & TcMEGiiAPH COMPANY, requesting permission to erect
one pole and one anchor on the west side of 'Walnut Avenue between Bonita Vista
and Hillcrest Avenues as per sketch attached to their application. The Superin-
tendent of Streets reporting that such construction would in no way interfere
with thepublic use of said street, it was moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by
Trustee Cannon, that the permit applied for be granted to said company, with
the understanding that the work be prosecuted and completed to the satisfaction
of the Street Superintendent of the City of E1 Segundo. Carried.
:p;ALTH OFFICER, by Dr. A. S. Baker, being a report of the activities of
the local district health office for the month of April, 1925, as pertaining
to the City of i:l Segundo. Ordered filed.
BOULDER DA'l4 ASSOCIATION, advising of its annual meeting to be held at
the Casa Loma Hotel, Ontario, California, June 13th, 1925, beginning at 10 :00
o'clock A. 1:1.. and urging the attendance of representatives from this city.

the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to attend the annual meeting'
of the Boulder Dam Association at Ontario, California, June 13th, 1925, and to

PETITION OF GEE -iGE D. 1MRRIS and others, requesting the improvement of
Bayonne Street between Palm Avenue and Maple Avenue. Moved by Trustee Gerow,
seconded by Trustee Cannon, that the following resolution be adopted:

of the City of .41 Segundo are willing to pay certain moneys in
the sum of Y233.98 into the Treasury of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, and into the General Fund thereof, for the purpose
of causing certain street improvements within said city to be made,
AND 7H -.M:1 &S, said sum has been deposited with the City Clerk of
said City with instructions to pay the same into said General Fund
upon the adoption of the following;

character to that constructed in Virginia Street from Palm to
Maple Avenue.

The City Engineer reported having made two unsuccessful attempts to have
personal interview with 1:1r. E. C. Johnson, Chief Engineer of the Pacific
:lectric railway Company with reference to easements over said Company's right -of -way
for sewer construction purposes and that finally he had written 1�r. Johnson for
an appointment at the latter's convenience.

The City Engineer reported also that the contract for use of the Los Angeles
City Outfall sewer by the City of =-1 Segundo, heretofore prepared by City Attorney
Bloodworth and submitted to proper officials of the City of Los Angeles, has been
amended in several particulars and returned to him to be approved by this Board
of Trustees. It appearing that "r. Bloodworth and *. Koebig could meet with this
Board of Trustees on the afternoon of June 2nd, 1925, to dis3uss the said contract,
it was agreed that when this neeting adjourns, it adjourn to an hour on said
date convenient to all parties concerned.

granted and that the customary rental charge of ;x3.75 be made therefor. Carried.
The City Clerk advised that the canvas floor covering in the City hall Auditoriur
is torn in several places and should be repaired to avoid further deterioration, and
it was moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Cannon, that the City Clerk be
instructed to employ a canvas man to repair the floor covering of the City Hall
Auditorium at a cost not to exceed X15.00. Carried by the following vote:
