An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
El Segundo, California, was called to order at 4:40 o'clock P. 11. on the
above date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City by Peter L.
Binder, President of the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Present: Cannon, Gerow and Binder.
Trustees Absent: Anderson and Love.
Moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the regular
order of business be dispensed with. Carried.
City Attorney 'Woodworth then explained in detail various provisions
of the tentative contract between the City of Los nngeles and the City of 31
Segundo for the disposal of City of M Segundo sewage through the City of Los
Angeles outfall sewer, as the same had been amended and submitted to this city
for approval. The engineering phases of the contract were discussed at length,
City Engineer Hutchins and n. H. Xoebig, Jr. of the firm of Koebig & Koebig,
consulting engineers, engaging in the discussion. Finally, by general consent,
the City Attorney having had explained to him the desires of this Board of
Trustees with respect to said contract, the said official was instructed to
redraft the dccument and again to confer with the legal and engineering
departnents of the City of Los Angeles in an endeavor to obtain their consent
to the acceptance of said contr --ct as amended at this session by this Board
and to report the result of such conference to this Board of Trustees at the
earliest possible time.
"'he City Attorney then requested leave of absence for a period of
six weeks beginning June 5th and requested that during such time his associate,
"r. J. Gordon M lls, be ipermitted to act in his behalf. It was thereupon
moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the City Attorney,
Clyde ';loodwerth be and he is hereby granted leave of absence with pay for a
period of six weeks beginning June 5th, 1925, and that during his absence
and at his request, fir. J. ^orlon dills be permitted to act in his behalf as
City attorney. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Cannon, Gerow and Binder.
Noes: None,
Absent: Trustees Anderson and Love.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this session, it
was moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by trustee Gerow, that the ^eeting
adjourn until Wednesday, June 3rd, 1925, at the hour of 4:40 o'clock P.
Carried.
