No errors or omissions appearing, it was roved by Trustee Cmnon, seconded by Trustee Anderson, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. Black dwelling house on Viest Maple avenue, necessitated through the removal of said dwelling to provide for the opening of Sycamore avenue, are practically complete, and that the owner is willing to accept the sum of N40.00 in settlement of uncompleted work. This appearing to be a satisfactory aejustment, by general consent the matter was referred to the Commissioners appointed for the opening of Sycamore Avenue for final settlement. SPA ?�� ORD.K OF 3� S IP5 S . The hearing of protests against the laying out and opening of a certain new public street within the City of El Seauzndo, between. Arizona Drive and Inglewood-Redondo Road, to be desisted and ;mown as r•:ariposa Avenue, having heretofore been adjourned to the hour of 7:50 o'clock P. L1. at this meeting, and said hour having arrived, the President arose and as-iced if there were any person or persons present %rho desired to file protests against the said work or improve- ment. ,o protests were filed, but the 3oard desiring to hear from interested parties who had previously filed protests and which protests the 3oard had been advised were to be withdrawn, it appeared desirable to continue the hearing. It was thereupon moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee uerow, that the hearing of protests against the laying out and opening of a certain new public street within the City of .1 Segundo, to be designated and known as "'.ariposa Avenue, as contemplated under Resolution of Intention No. 94 of the Board of Trustees, be adjourned until Friday, the 29th day of January, 1926, at the hour of 7 :30 o'clock P. I BU3IiTi'SS. ?oved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Anderson, that the Street cuperin- tendert be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to erect a guard fence of usual size and deeign on the South side of Pine Avenue opposited Sheldon Street, and the purchase of the necessary materials is hereby authorized at a cost not to exceed ;15.00. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder. Noes: None. Absent: None. :,loved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Love, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized to purchase 250 feet of 1 -1/2" double jacketed hose for use of the Street Department at a cost not to exceed x290.00. By general consent the Street Superintendent was instructed to repair Lomita Street from Grand Avenue to Pine Avenue. roved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Anderson, that Trustee Alfred C. Cannon be and he is hereby appointed Chairman of the ::D. Segundo Community Christmas Tree Con=.ittee, to control the expenditures in connection therewith made on behalf of the City of El Segundo and to have general supervision over the program arrange- ments. Carried. Moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Love, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to obtain from some reputable title company of Los Angeles'County, a preliminary report covering all the real property privately owned between 3ucalyptus Drive and Maryland Street and adjoining the Pacific lectric -:'.ailway Company's right- of- way,over which it will be necessary for the city to obtain easements for sewer construction purposes and to proceed with all other incidental arrangements necessary in this connection, all at a cost not to exceed x295.000 Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder. Noes: done. Absent: None. The President of the Board initiated discussion with reference to the advisability of enlarging the dwelling proposed to be erected for the housing of the municipal employee in charge of the sewer pump station, and making certain other minor changes and deviations from the plans for said dwelling as originally drawn and approved by this Board. Following discussion, all trustees being like - minded, it was moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Anderson, that the following resolution be adopted: ' ZAS, under date of December 16th, 1925, the City of IM Segundo entered into contract with Albert J. Sullivan, for furnishing all of the materials and doing all of the work necessary to erect the one story frame dwelling for the said City; and ',+HAAS, this Board of Trustees has determined that the design of said building and its completion should differ in several respects from plans therefor heretofore adopted by this Board of Trustees and under which plans the said contractor tendered his bid to said City; and 7J'�'IS, the items of difference consist of the following, to -wit: the widening of said dwelling house an additional two feet; the ex- tension of the foiundations a like distance to support the same; the installation of additional under - pinning and the addition of picture moldiLg in living and bedroons of said building; and :102 Y S, this Board of Trustees has made inquiry into the cost of making the changes contemplated, and feels that Albert J. Sullivan has submitted a reasonable figure therefor, to -wit: the sum of p285.00; PLO T? RF'03y, BE IT F. SOLVED, that the said Albert J. Sullivan be and he is hereby authorized to perform the additional work necessary and to furnish the additional material required to cause the said dwelling referred to in his contract with said city as hereirabove referred to, to be erected in accordance with the ideas of this Board expressed at this meeting, and that the said work be performed as an extra under his contract for the scan of •;x285.00. Said resolution was carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder. Noes: None. Absent: None. Xo further business appearing to be transacted at this session, it was moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Love, that the meeting adjourn until Thursday, the 24th day of December, 1925, at the hour of 4 :40 *o'clock P. 11.
