E1 Segundo, Cal. December 11th, 1925.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, was called to order at 7 :00 o'clock P. M. on the above date in the
Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City by Peter E. Binder, President of
the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Present: Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder.
Trustees Absent: None.

The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 4th day of December, 1925,
were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Trustee Gerow,
seconded by Trustee Cannon, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of December 8th, 1925, were
read without error or omission being noted, and it was moved by Trustee Gerow,
seconded by Trustee Love, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried.

The following communications were read and dispasedof as indicated:
CHAIl'BER OF C0111!MCE, Redondo Beach, California, inviting the Board of
Trustees of the City of El Segundo to participate in the Pageant of Light
Celebration at Redondo Beach, California, Saturday, January 2nd, 1926, from
2 :00 P. M. until Midnight, and requesting that the Pageant of Light Committee
be advised of the acceptance of the invitation. By general consent the Clerk
was instructed to advise the said Committee that the members of the Board who
could do so would attend the celebration.
RAILROAD COIJUSSION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, referring to a letter
written sometime ago by Mayor Cryer of Los Angeles with respect to the telephone
situation in the City of Los Angeles and referring also to a resolution adopted
by the Board of Trustees of the City of Emeryville, California, which was
prompted by the letter of Mayor Cryer, the letter of said Commission being
accompanied by a letter addressed to the Board of Trustees of the City of
Emeryville, explaining in detail various phases of the results of the Railroad
Commission's hearings in the matter of the application of the Southern California
Telephone Company for an increase in rates in Los Angeles. Ordered filed.

The Uity Clerk advised that the delay in the sale of the Sycamore Avenue
Street Opening Bonds will work a hardship on certain property owners, who desire
to sell and resubdivide their holdings, but are unable to do so because of the
lien of record against their property on account of the issuance of said street
opening bonds, and he requested that when so disposed the Board authorize him
to advertise said bonds for sale. It was thereupon moved by Trustee Love, seconded
by Trustee Gerow, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to advertise for bids for the sale of all of the improvement bonds issued for the
Laying Out and Opening of Sycamore Avenue within the City of E1 Segundo, California,
as contemplated by Resolution of Intention No. 84 and Ordinance No. 113 of said

City of El Segundo as are now or will be available for sale at the time of publication
of said notice. Carried by the following votes
Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder.

Moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Cannon, that the following
resolution be adopted:
WHEREAS, proceedings were taken by this Board of Trustees for
the laying out and opening of Sycamore Avenue in the City of E1
Segundo, California under Resolution of Intention No. 84 and
Ordinance No. 113 of said City, which said proceedings require
that certain property iiong the line of said improvement be
deeded to said City for public street purposes; and
77M EAS, John Durkos and Suzanne Durkos', his wife, have
presented to this Board of Trustees street deeds dated
conveying to the said City for public street purposes the Northerly
25 ft. of Lot 12, Block 97, El Segundo Sheet No. 39 and the
Northerly 25 feet of Lot 11, Block 97, E1 Segundo Sheet No. 3,
all as per Map Book 20, pages 22 and 23 of ?gaps on file in the
office of the County Recorder of said Los Angeles County;
NOti'i THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said deeds and the
property conveyed thereby be and the same are hereby accepted
on behalf of the City of El Segundo;
AND BE IT FCRTHy' RMOLVIM, that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and instructed to annex to said instruments his
certificate, showing the acceptance of the same by this Board
of Trustees and to file said instruments for record.
Said resolution was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder.

Moved -by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Love, that the following
resolution be adopted:
RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the City of M Segundo,
County of Los Angeles, California, that pursuant and subject to
all the terms, conditions and provisions of the Public Health Act
of the State of California, approved ]Larch 23, 1911, and all
amendments thereto, application by this municipal corporation be
made to the State Board of Health of the State of California, for
.a permit to construct, use and maintain a lateral sewer system in
Lateral Sewerage District No. 1 within the City of E1 Segundo,
California, which said lateral sewer system and Lateral Sewerage
District No. 1 are shown upon that certain map prepared by the
Engineering Department of the City of El Segundo, numbered It 250009
and data attached thereto, accompanying this application for permit;
that the President of the Board of Trustees of said City of El Segundo
.be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause the necessary
data to be prepared, and investigations to be made, and in the
name of said City of 251 Segundo to sign and file such application
with the State Board of Health, it being understood that all
expenses of the investigation to be made under the supervision of
and hearings to be held by said Board of Health shall be borne and
paid as they accrue by this city as provided in Section 3 of said
Public Health Act.
Said resolution was carried by the following votes
Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder.

No further business appearing to be transacted at this session, it
was moved by Tivustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Love, that the meeting
adjourn until Thursday, the 17th day of December, 1925, at the hour of
