An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of `1''rustees of the City of II
Segundo, California, was called to order at 4:40 o'clock P. M. on the above
date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City by Peter E. Binder,
President of the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Presents Anderson, Cannon, Love and Binder.
Trustees Absents Derow.
The City Clerk being absent, Trustee Cannon was appointed Clerk pro -tem.
Moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Love, that the regular order of
business be dispensed with. Carried.

Moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Love, that the demands be allowed
and warrants drawn and paid out of the respective funds covering the same.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Love and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Gerow.
Moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Cannon, that the following
resolution be adopted:
SEAS, it appears that the United States Cast Iron Pipe
and Foundry Company has satisfactorily fulfilled its contract
with the City of 21 Segundo for furnishing said city with
1500 feet of 6" Cast Iron Pipe; and
WHEREAS, this Board of Trustees has heretofore allowed the
claim of said Company for the cost of said pipe in accordance
with said contract;
NOW i!WORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of El Segundo be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
return the certified check of the United States Cast Iron Pipe
and Foundry Company in the sum of $135.00 deposited with the
bid of said Company filed with this Board of.Trustees June 19th,
1925.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Love and.Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Gerow.
An application from G. R. Rider was read, in.which he applied for a permit
to erect a 64 fte derrick on Lot 7, Block 114, El Segundo, for the purpose of
drilling for oil and/or gas at said locations this being in accordance with
Ordinance No. 99 of the City of E1 Segundo. The same was filed without action
having been taken thereon.
A letter ffom tha Pacific Electric Railway Company, advising that they
are- taking action to comply with the request of this Board of Trustees, that they
stop all trains at Medio Crossing, E1 Segundo, between the hours of 7:00 A. M._
and 7:00 P. Mo as an added safety measure at this crowing. By general consent
the -City Clerk was instructed to write the Pacific,Slectric Railway Company,
expressing the appreciation of the Board of Trustees of said Company's
cooperation in this matter.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was moved
by Trustee Love, seconded by `Trustee Cannon, that the meeting adjourn. Carried.
