El Segundo, Cal. December 31, 1924.
An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of El
Segundo, California, was called to order at 4s40 o'clock P. Me on the above date,
in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City by Peter E. Binder, President
of the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Present: Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder.
Trustees Absent: None.
Moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Love, that the regular order of
business be dispensed with. Carried.
Trustee Gerow moved that Resolution No. 83, entitled:

PAL'' AVM, WITHIN THE SAID CITY, AS PROVIDED FOR BY
RESOLUTION OF INTME TTION NO. 79, OF TIC- SAID BOARD OF TRUSTEES,
which was read, be adopted. The motion was seconded by Trustee Love, and adopted
by the following votes
Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
The Standard Oil Mortuary Fund requested permission to use the Council
Chamber of the City Hall on the evening of January 6th, 1925, and on motion of
Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Gerow, which carried, this permission was
granted.
The City Clerk advised that representatives of the Santa Fe Railway Company
would be in El Segundo on the evening of January 2nd, 1925, for the purpose of
conferring with'the Board of Trustees concerning the sewer needs of tk6tr
proposed industrial site.
The Clerk read to the Board a letter from Dr. J. L. Pomeroy, concerning
renewal of this city's contract with the County of Los Angeles, for the performance
of the functions of Health Department of the City of Li Segundo, in which
connection Dr. Pomeroy urged signing of the contract on the basis of a $1000900
payment for the year 19259 and $1500900 payment for the year 1926. The Board
objected to signing a two year contraot, and instructed the City Clerk to request
the City Attorney to prepare a contract for the term of one year, providing for
visitations and an inspection of premises within the City of El Segundo by a
representative of the County Health Department at least two 1/2 days per week,
and providing further for the termination of the contract whenever, in the opinion
of this Board of Trustees, the services are determined to be unsatisfactory.
At the suggestion of Trustee Gerow, and with the general consent of the
Board, the City Clerk was instructed to arrange with the janitor for the American
flag to be flown from the flag pole in the municipal park each day throughout the
year, weather permitting, as well as from the flag pole on the City Hall.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was
moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Cannon, that the meeting adjourn.
