1924 DEC 16 CC MINEl Segundo, Cal. Dec. 16th, 1924. An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Ell Segundo, California, was called to order at 4:40 o'clock P. M. on the above date in the Council Chamber of the City 'gall of said City by Peter E. Binder, President of the Board. ROLL CALL. Trustees Present: Anderson, Cannon, Love and Binder. Trustees Absent: Gerow. Moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Cannon; that the regular order of business be dispensed with. Carried. Sickler 34.72 W1.18 Moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Love, that the demands be allowed and warrants drawn on the respective funds covering the same. Carried by the following votes Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Love and Binder. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee Gerow. Trustee Anderson drew attention to a condition on the South and of Loma Vista Street, which should be repaired at an early date, so that in event of fire in that vicinity, the fire dngine could approach the fire hydrant without difficulty. Following discussion, it was moved by Trustee Anderson, seconded by Trustee Cannon, that the Street Superintendent be and he is hereby instructed to repair Loma Vista Street at a point in the South and thereof, adjacent to the fire hydrant, so that the roadway will be of a sufficiently substantial construction to carry the fire engine. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Love and Binder. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee Gerow. The name heretofore suggested for a street proposed to be opened in the acreage having met with the disapproval of some of the owners of real property abutting said proposed street, and other names having been suggested, it was moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Anderson, that the following resolution be adopted: R SOLVED, THAT THE ACTION HEREPTOFORE TAKEN BY THIS BOARD OF TRUSTEM IN DESIGNATING THE NAE FOR THAT CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC STREET REFERRED TO IN THE RESOLUTION OF THIS BOARD NOW OF RECORD ON PAGE F -92, OF THE RECORDS OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THIS BOARD, AS HICKORY AVENUE, BE AND THE SASE IS HEREBY RESCINDED AND THAT FOR ALL PURPOSr'S AND IN ALL PROCE I1GS Hr^33AFTER TAKEN THE SAID STREET UNTIL FORMALLY NAMED BY THIS BOARD, SHALL BE KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS SYCAMORE AVENUE. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Love and Binder. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee Gerow. No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Cannon, that the meeting adjourn. Carried.
