1924 APR 22 CC MINEl Segundo, Calif. April 22nd, 1924. A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo, California, was called to order at 7 :30 o'clock P. M. on the above date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City by Peter E. Binder, President of the Board. ROLL CALL. Trustees Present: Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder. Trustees Absents Rueger. On motion of Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Gerow, which carried unanimously, the regular order of business was dispensed with. EPA ING OF ?RI1TUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING. The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on the 21st day of April, 1924, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. WRITTEN COML'G'NICATIONS. The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated: C. W. SPARKS, Contractor, requesting an extension of sixty days in which to complete his contract for the improvement of Maple Avenue between Virginia and Main Streets in the City of E1 Segundo. Moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Cannon that C. 71. Sparks be granted a two weeks extension of time in which to complete the contract entered into between himself and the City of Ea Segundo for the improvement of Maple Avenue from Main Street to Virginia Street, said contract being dated January 28th, 1924. The City Engineer reported that following consultation with different agencies in Los Angeles, he had interviewed but one man, whom he did not feel was qualified to perform the duties he would require of an engineer in the preparation of data for a public sewer system and that if he is not successful in procuring a satisfactory engineer within the next few days, he will make efforts to do so through other agencies.
