June, 1923 were recd without error or omission beins noted and it
was roved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Rueter, that they
be approved as read. Carried.

the
demands be allowed and
warrants drawn on the General Fund for the
same. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Binder, IELueger, Smiley and Bryson.

NEV; BUSINESS.
Moved by Trustee Binder, seconded by Trustee Smiley, that the sum of
",:1245.00 be transferred from the General Fund to the Bond Interest &
Redemption Fund by the City Clerk and the City Treasurer to retire
interest coupons on the Municipal Improvement Bonds of the City of
E1 Segundo falling due July 1st, 1923. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Binder, ?;ueger, Smiley and Bryson.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Davis.
Moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Rueger, that in
order to afford greater protection against fires on July 3rd and 4th,
that the City Marshal be and he is hereby authorized to employ two
extra watchmen on each date to work between the hours of 6;00 P. M.
and 2:00 A. Y. of the following day at a compensation of 62� per hour.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Binder, Rueger, Smiley and Bryson.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Davis.
Moved by Trustee Rueger, seconded by Trustee Smiley, that Mr. L.
C. Roberts be and he is hereby appointed Assistant Street Superintendent,
effective July 1st, 1923. Until the further order of this Board,
said appointee shall receive as compensation in full for all services
rendered the City of E1 Segundo the sum of $15.00 Der month, payable
monthly as other city salaries are paid. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Binder, Rueger, Smiley and Bryson.
Noes: None, Absent: Trustee Davis.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting,
it was moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Rueger, that the
meeting adjourn. Carried.
