An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
City of El Segundo, California, was called to order at 11:00 o'clock
A. M. on the above date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of
said City by William C. Bryson, President of the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Present: Rueger, Smiley and'Bryson.
Trustees Absent: Binder and Gerow.
Moved by Trustee Rueger, seconded by Trustee Smiley that the
regular order of business be dispensed with. Carried.
Moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Rueger that
Resolution No. 57 entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CiZIFORNIA, FIXING THE RATE
OF TLX €S FOR SbID CITY SLTFICIENT TO RAISE THE
AMOUNT OF HONEY FTXE BY THE SAID BOARD IN OR-
DINANCE NO. 97 THEREOF, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON
THE 21ST DAY OF AUGUST, 1923, AND THE EXPENSE OF
COLMCTION OF SAID AMOUNT, THE SAID RATE HEREIN
FIXED BEING THE RATE OF TAXES IN SAID CITY FOR
THE C URREi4 T YEAR 1923-1924",
which was read, be adopted. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Rueger, Smiley and Bryson.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustees Binder and Gerow.
The Clerk then explained that he had misunderstood the price
quoted for making three galvanized iron signs for the City of E1
Segundo and that the price quoted should have been $20.00 instead of
$12.00. It was then moved by Trustee Rueger, seconded by Trustee
Smiley, that an additional sum of $8.00 be and the same is hereby
appropriated out of the General Fund for the purpose of procuring
three traffic signs as ordered by the Board of Trustees at a regular
meeting held on the 21st day of August, 1923. Carried by the following
vote:
Ayes: Trustees Rueger, Smiley and Bryson.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustees Binder and Gerow.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting,
it was moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Rueger that the
meeting adjourn. Carried.
