The following co_ munications were read and disposed
of as indicated:
iron, 1M. J. L. SMITH, Trustee El Segundo Gra:mar School
District, and Charles IT. '-ills, Secretary El Segundo School
Bo -rd, requesting permission to remove trees at present in
the parkin; in front of said school on Richmond Street, and to
plant in their stead, likewise in the parking north of the
school on Palm Avenue, black acacia trees. "oved by Trustee
Davis, seconded by Trustee RueCer, that these requests be
granted. Carried.

Mass 7 eeting held at the City hall, Her:_iosa Beach, April 19th,
1923, with respect to a proposed joint sewage disposal plan
whereby the beach cities would join with the city of Los
Angeles for the treatment and disposal of sewage through t.ie
Los Angeles outfall sewer at Hyperion, and reauestint that
this Board give said plan early consideration. Ordered riled.

Trustee Davis, Chai—�,aan of the Public Safety Co- .puttee,
reported that a portion of the 2 1/2" fire hose of the City
of El Segundo had been tested this date and had withstood
a pressure of 150 lbs. for a period of four minutes without
sweating.

City Attorney 'Joodworth reported that the Bond attorneys
had requested a supplementary affidavit with respect to certain
of t.le Bond -,,-roceedings, which affidavit has been f,_lrnished
there, and that he expects a reply fro:: the Bond attorneys
any time.

proposals,to be received by the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, tl:e

furnishing the City of El Segundo with the materials :mentioned
