A regular meeting or the Board of Trustees of the City of El
Segundo, California, was celled to order at 7:30 o'clock P. Y. on the
above date in the Council (r amber of the :;its- hall oi s, id - -ity by

The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 17th day of
October, 1922 were read without error or omission being noted and
were approved upon motion of Trustee P.ueger, seconded by Trustee
Smiley, which carried.

,ermission to lo.r on the ocean bed at Hyperion a 60 inch cast iron
nipe encased in concrete a distance of about one ::ile into the
ocean and that maps showing location of the proposed outfall sewer
will be on exhibition in the office of said engineer at 725 Centrel
Building, Los Angeles, California, until 11:00 A. M. October 26th,
1922, and that any objections based upon navigation interests only
might be filed on or before that date. Ordered filed.

Yoved by Trustee Rueger, seconded by Trustee Smiley, that the
City Clerk prepare a letter warning the residents of the City of El
Segundo of the danger to life and property during electrical storms
through the maintenance of aerial equipment not properly protected
by lightning arresters and that such yarning be published once in
the E1 Segundo Herald. Carried by the following vote:

NEW BUSIMSS .
11oved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Rueger, that the
City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to have the
broken castors on the piano replaced. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees l�ueger, Smiley and Bryson.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustees Binder and Davis.
Loved by Trustee Rueger, seconded by Trustee Smiley, that Pacific
?ost No. 38, American Legion, be granted permission to use the
City hall Auditorium on the evening of October 30th, 1922. Carried.
Loved by Trustee Rueger, seconded by Trustee Smiley, that the
Catholic Church Choir be granted permission to use the City Hall
uditorium on the evening of November 4th, 1922. Carried.
The Clerk advised the Board that the oven element and large
burner- element on the electric stove provided for the janitor are
burned out and required replacement, which will cost approximately*
$20.00. Following brief discussion, it was moved by Trustee Rueger,
seconded by Trustee Smiley, that the City Clerk, be instructed to procure
prices on gas ranges and the cost of making necessary connections for
the purpose of using a gas range in place of the electric range. Carried.
ITo further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting,
it was moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Rueger, that
the meeting adjourn. Carried.
