A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of E1
Segundo, California, was called to order at 7:30 o'clock P. M. on the
above date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall by7illiam C.
Bryson, President of the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Present: Binder, Davis, Rueger, Smiley and Bryson..
Trustees Absent: None.
READING OF IINUTES OF PP.EVIOUS =TING.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 24th day of
I;Tay, 1922 were read without error or omission being noted. It w--.s
moved by Trustee Davis, seconded by Trustee Smiley that they be approved
as read. Carried.
10RIT`1EN C0IMARTICATIONS.
The following communications were read and disposed of as
indicated:
SOUTHEP.N CAL. GAS COUPANY. requesting permission to erect a
10 x 10 meter house in the East parking of Center Street at the inter-
section of El Segundo Avenue, agreeing to remove this building at the
pleasure of the Board of Trustees. Moved by Trustee Rueger, seconded
by Trustee Davis that this permission be granted in accordance with
the terms of the communication. Carried.
WALTER K. MITCHELL, making application for employment to audit
the official records of the City of El Segundo for the fiscal year
ending June 30th, 1922, the charge for such work to be $25.00 per day
with a maximum limit of $100.00. Ordered filed.
LOOI'IIS, DO`-1J & COITANY, seeking employment to audit the records
of the City for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1922 for the sum of
00.00. Ordered filed.

REPORTS OF STANDING CO7_ZuITTEES .
Trustee Davis of the Public Safety Committee presented to the
Board a list of names of property owners who have failed to heed the notices
of the Health Officer that ganitary plumbing be installed in their
respective premises. Idoved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee
Davis that the City Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to communicate
with the persons named in the list handed Trustee Davis by the Health
Officer, directing them to appear before the Board and show cause why
they should not be dealt with according to lair. Carried by the following
vote:
Ayes: Trustees Binder, Davis, Hueger, Smiley and Bryson.
Noes: None.

R- 72ORTS OF OFFICERS AND SPECIAL C0121ITTIIES .
Trustee Bryson, with reference to widening the door of the fire
engine room reported that the matter was one for a carpenter to investi-
gate, believing that the door casing could be removed or changed, thus
avoiding any reconstruction of brick work. It was-moved by Trustee
Smiley, seconded by Trustee Davis, that the matter of widening the door
into the fire engine room be referred to the Public Service Committee
for the pur-oose of employing a carpenter to recommend the best method of

vote:
Ayes: Trustees Binder, Davis, Smiley, Rueger and Bryson.

Uldl XI SFM BUSINESS.
Trustee Davis read to the Board certain sections of the contract
bet-�een the City of E1 Segundo and Olmstead & Gillelen, expressing a
desire to be furnished with additional information in accordance with
the terms of said contract. Trustee Binder stated that he had been
approached by property owners in the Hollingsworth Tract with reference
to the present status of the municipal water situation and that he had
agreed to meet these people in the City Hall next Monday evening.

City Clerk be authorized to purchase a gasoline coupon book for use
of the Fire Department at a cost not to exceed $20.00. Carried by
the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Binder, Davis, Rueger, Smiley and Bryson.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting,
it was moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Davis, that the
meeting adjourn. Carried.
