The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 7th day of September,
1921, were read without error or omission being noted. It was moved by
Trustee Davis, seconded by Trustee Bryson, that the minutes be approved
as read. Carried.

The following co_=nications were read and disposed of as indicated:
JEAid CORLEY, Secretary of the E1 Segundo Auxiliary of the Childrens'
Hospital of Los Angeles, requesting permission to use some of the dishes
belonging to the City on the evening of September 22nd, 1921, on which
date a lawn party will be given by the Association for the benefit of
the Childrens' Hospital. On motion by Trustee Bryson, seconded by
Trustee Davis, which carried, this permission was granted.

to attend a conference on community problems to be held at Stanford
University September 11th to 23rd, inclusive, 1922, and urging co-
operation of the officials in :caking Stanford University and Palo Alto

Trustee Bryson of the Public Works Committee reported that the
street buttons and auxiliary telephone bell had been ordered pursuant
to previous action of the Board of Trustees.
Trustee Davis of the Public Safety Committee reported that the
services of the present Hight Watchman are not entirely satisfactory
and that in his opinion another man should be appointed to the position.
Trustee iueger stated that he thought a married :can residing and owning
property within the city of :l Segundo should be appointed and by
general consent the matter was left in the hands of Trustee Davis
for recorimiendation.

Trustee Rueger advised that all of the members of the Board of
Trustees w -)uld be permitted to attend the Qonvention of the League of
California yfunicipalities to be held in Santa Konica, September 27th
to 30th, inclusive, 1921, and that in his opinion all should attend if
possible. It appearing that another regular meeting would be held
prior to the date of the convention, definite arrangements were deferred
until such meeting.
Loved by Trustee Davis, seconded by Trustee Bryson, that drs. R.
L. Converse be granted permission to use -20 collapsible chairs on
Thursday, September 15th, 1921, without charge, providing such use
does not c)n�lict with any public use thereof, and further providing
that Iv,rs. Converse arrange for cartage to and from her r::sidence.
Carried.
1oved by Trustee Bryson, seconded by Trustee Davis, that
Endicott £: Larson be employed at an expense not to exceed 4100.00
to make up the assessment, warrant and attach diagram in re Improvement
on Richmond Street and make all calculations therefor. Carried by the
following vote:
Ayes: Trustee Bryson, Davis and _;ueger.
Noes: alone.
Absent: Trustees Binder and Smiley.
Truster; Binder appeared at the meeting and took his seat at the
hour of 7 :57 o'clock P. Iii.
io further business appearing to be transacted at this session,
it was moved by Trustee Davis, seconded by Trustee Bryson, that the
meeting adjourn until Friday, the loth day of September, 1921, at the
hour of 12:OJ o'clock tloon. Carried.
