An adjourned regular-meeting'of the Board of Trustees of the City
of E1 Segundo, California, was called to order at 12 :00 O' clook'Noon
on the above date in the Counc it 'Chamber of the City Hall by Carl E.
'Rueger, President of the `Board.
ROLL "CALL.
Trustees Present: Bryson, "Smiley and Rueger.
Trustees Absent: Binder and Davis.
Moved by Trustee Bryson, seconded by .Trustee =i.ley, that the regular
order of business be dispensed with. Carried.
The Standard Oil Company filed with the Board an application for
permit to erect two poles in the alley west of Virginia Street between
Holly and Pine Avenues and to string wires on same for the purpose of
connecting .a telephone in the house on the Northwest corner of Virginia
Street and Pine Avenue. Moved•by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee
Bryson, that such permission be granted, subject to the work being done
in a manner satisfactory to the Street Superintendent. Carried.
.Moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Bryson, that the
following resolution be adopted:
"RESOLVED, That the Street Superintendent be and
he is hereby instructed to do such indidental work, at
a cost not to exceed 4300.00, in and along Richmond
Street, El Segundo, California, as may be necessary, in
his opinion, to adjust differences in elevation of
entrances of existing structures to adapt the same to the
new grade line of said Street ".
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Bryson, Smiley and Rueger.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustees Binder and Davis.
Moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Bryson, that the amount
heretofore allowed for the purchase of a siren to be attached to the
police motorcycle be increased from 435:00 to 436.04. Carried by the
following vote:.
Ayes: Trustees Bryson, Smiley and Rueger.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustees Binder and Davis.
