A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of El Segundo*
was called to order at 4 :30 o'clock P. M: on the above date in the
Council Chamber of the City Hall , pursuant to%call of the President and
notice duly given each Trustee as provided by law, President Rueger `
presiding.

Trustees Present: Davis, Smiley and Rueger.
Trustees Absent: Binder and Bryson.
It was moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Davis, that
the regular order of business be dispensed with. Carried.
The Clerk read the application of the Standard Oil Company for
permission to tunnel under the Coast Boulevard at a point 111.03 feet
South of the North line of Seotion.14, Township 3, South Range 15 West,
S.B.A., for the purpose of constructing a 36" cast iron sewer.
Moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Davis that permission
be granted the Standard Oil Company to tunnel under the Coast Boulevard
at a point 111.03 feet South of the North Dine of Section 14, Township
3, South Range 15 nest, S.B.M.,.as per their application therefor.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Davis, amiley and Rueger.
noes: None.
Absent: Trustees Binder and Bryson.
Trustee Rueger stated that a member of the Catholic Church
had asked his permission to use fifty chairs during a special service
the church will hold September 26th to October 3rd. 'Moved by
Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Davis, that permission be granted
the Catholic - Church to use fifty chairs during their special service
from September 26th to October 3rd. Carried.
Moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Davis, that the
meeting adjourn. Carried.
