Segundo was called to order at 7 :30 o'clock P. 11. on the above date in
the Council Chamber of the City Hall by /Carl E. Rueger, President of

The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 2nd day of
December, 1920, were read without error or omission being noted. Moved
by Trustee Dais, seconded by Trustee Smiley, that the minutes be
approved as read. Carried.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on the 24th
day of December, .1920 were read. No errors or omissions appearing,
it was moved by Trustee Bryson, seconded by '17u.stee Smiley, that the
minutes be approved as read. Carried.

The following communications were read and disposed of as

F. H. Stanton, Secretary of the Lmployees' 1,_ortuary Fund of the
;standard Jil Company, requesting permission to use the Council Chamber
of the.City Hall on the evening of January 4th, 1921. On motion by
Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Bryson, which carried, such
permission was granted.
The Vloman's Benefit Association of the I:iaccabees, N Segundo
F eview 11o. 19, aavis in ; that the .Bodge had taken action necessary to
relinquish the Auditorium on the 5th meting night in any iponth in
*:,hick there would be five Tuesdays. Ordered filed.
A petition from D. tJ. Herny and others, requesting the improve-

The City Clerk reported that .L,.r. James Griffin had deposited
,{7.50 for the purchase of several old cushions which were obtained by the
City ;hen it purchased the furniture of the Club Del Lar, that the cushions
are not now in use and are being damaged by reason of being stored•in
various places, and that this price is X2.50 more than the former 3oard of
Trustees agreed to accept nor the same.

Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to notify the various organizations
using the City Hall Auditorium that whenever the City's dishes are used,
they must be returned cleaned and dried. Carried.

Liarshal and the idight Idatchman be and they are hereby required to weep a'
daily record of the motorcycle mileage. Carried.
Trustee Davis drew the Board's attention to the necessity of �re-
organizing the _sire Department, or at least .for a change in the person„ell of
the officers of the organization; also to additional equipment and repairs
needed. By _general.consent the matter was referred to the - "ublic Safety
Committee with power to act.
