1919 JAN 23 CC MINEl Segundo , Cal. , Jamary 23d, 1919. An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo, California, was called to order at 4 :30 o'clock ?. ILL., on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, by Carl Ernest Rueger, ?resident of the Board. ROLL CALL. Trustees present: Bryson, ;lard, and Rueger. Trustees absent: Ward. and Work. I:oved by Trustee Bryson, seconded by 'Trustee Ward, that the regular order of business be dispensed with. Carried. The City Clerk then announced that a solid sheet of No. 8 steel would be installed on the bed of the Street Department's Truck, fasten- ed with counter sunk bolts, for the sum of Q30.00, by Bush & Hurlbert. I:_oved by Trustee Ward, sec Hurlbert be awarded the work of with a sheet of Igo. 8 steel for by the following vote: Apes: Tra:_tees Bryson, Noes: None. Absent: Trustees I.artin, )nded by T: equipping a sum not lard , and and ;'fork. ru: -tee Bryson, that '_lush & the bed of the motor track to exceed 00.00. Carried Rueger. Loved by Trustee Ward, seconded by Trustee Bryson, that the City Clerk be authorized to purchase four picks with handles, and a one - gallon canvas water bottle for the Street Department. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Bryson, ;`lard, and Rueger. Noes: None. Absent: Trustees Martin, and Work. After having discussed the :Matter of granting Vl. L. Dale permiss- ion to repa it the building on the rear of his lot, it was decided that permission be not granted unless the Building Ordinance is lived up to. The City Clerk advised that the Herald I-Ilu.blishing Co. could not publish his report of January 2nd, 1919, which covered the business of the City for the six months ending December 31st, 1918, without making a charge to cover their cost of composition, which would amount to about X5.00. I::oved by Trustee ':lard, seconded by Trustee Bryson, that the Clerk order his report referred to, published in the El Segundo Herald, at a cost not to exceed ti5.00. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Bryson, ";lard, and Rueger. Does: done. Absent: Trustees I;:artin, and Work.
