A speoial meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of El Segundo
Was called to order at 7 :30 o'clock P. Y. on the above date, in the Council
Chamber of the City Hall by Sydney R. Martin, President of the Board.
ROLL CALL
Trustees present: Bryson, Work, and Martin.
Trustees absent: Smiley & Ward.
City Clerk, Victor D. McCarthy being absent, the President appointed
Trustee John B. Work as City Clerk Pro Tem, and said Trustee proceeded
forthwith to act as said City Clerk Pro Tom, and continued so to do
throughout the meeting.
Moved by Trustee Bryson, seconded by Trustee Work, that the regular
order of business be dispensed with. Carried.
Moved by Trustee Bryson, seconded by Trustee Work, that Resolution
No. 21, entitled:
°A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE RATE
OF TAXES FOR SAID CITY SUFFICIENT TO RAISE THE
AMOUNT OF MONEY FIXED BY TEE SAID BOARD IN ORD-
INANCE 50. bb, THEREOF, PASSED ON THE 20th DAY
OF AUGUST, 1919, AND THE EgPENSE OF COLLECTION
OF SAID AMOUNT, THE SAID RATE HEREIN FIXED BE-
ING TEE. RATE OF TAXES IN SAID CITY FOR THE CUR-
RENT YEAR 1919 - 1920."
which was read, be adopted. The motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Bryson, Rork, and Martin.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustees Smiley, and Ward.
There being no :&rther business, upon motion by Trustee Bryson,
seconded by Trustee Work, which carried, the meeting adjourned.
