1919 AUG 20 CC MINM El Segundo, Cal. August 20th, 1919. Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of El Segundo .-7as called to order at 7 :30 o'clock P. I:. on the above date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall by Sydney R. M.artin, President of the Board. ROLL CALL. Trustees present: Smiley, ;fork, G I: Gard and artin• Trustees absent : Bryson. ' City Clerk, Victor D. McCarthy being absent, the President acpointed Trustee Alfred L. Smiley as Cit; Clerk Pro Tem, and said Trustee proceeded forthwith to act as said City Clerk ;ro Tem, and continued so to do throughout the meeting. READING L:I:;UTE- S °REVIOUS riiEETINs. It was moved by Trustee Work, and seconded by Trustee ,'fard that same be approved as read. Carried. Motion w!:-s carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees ' :7ork, Smiley, Bryson, ',:ard, Martin. noes : None Absent :hone Discussion was then had as to surfacing a part of E1 Fegundo :_venue, after which the Street Superintendent was instructed to ascertain the possibility of getting a sweeper, together with the cost of same. Moved by Trustee Work, seconded by Trustee Ward, "that the Street Superintendent be, and he is hereby instructed to collect cans throughout the city and make proper disposition of the same ". .'.lotion was carried by the follo-�,ing vote: Ayes: Trustees ',fork, Smiley, Bryson, '►'yard, Martin. Moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Bryson, that the City Attorney be instructed to represent the acreage people at the water hearing before the railroad Commission October 3rd, 1919. Carried.
