Mr. Speers of Santa L'onica addressed the Board relative to amending the present Business Ordinance so as to permit the erection of Bill Boards wit�dn the City of ."1 Segundo for a more reasonable fee. The City Engineer reported that he had again written the Pacific Electric Co. concerning a refund of a portion of the money deposited by this City for their expenses in connection with the installation of a spur track and overhead at Arizona Drive and Ballona Avenue, during the improvement of,Ball- ona Avenue, and that the purport of their reply was that the books would be balanced at the end of the month, at which time our account would be taken up, and the City advised as to the balance, if any. Moved by Trustee Liartin, seconded by Trustee Ward, that the City Attor- ney be instructed to amend that section of Ordinance No. 12 referring to bill boards, as per his suggestions, setting the annual fee at X10.00.
