A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of R1 Segundo,
California, was held on the above date in the City Hall of said City, pur-
suant to call of the President and notice duly given each Trustee of said
City of the holding of said meeting, in the manner provided by-law. Said
meetine• was called to order at 12:00 o'clock noon by Carl Ernest Rueger,
President of the Board.
Roll Call.
Trustees present: Bryson, Coward, and Rueger.
Trustees absent: Lartin and Ward.
17 -owed by Trustee Coward, seconded by Trustee Bryson, that the regular
order of business be dispensed with. Carried.
The Clerk then read the resignation of J. C. Hesser as Street Super-
intendent, and Marshal, which had been filed
with him. It was moved by Trustee Bryson, seconded by Trustee Coward,
that the resignation of J. C. Hesser, as Marshal and- Street Superintendent,
be accepted, said resignation to become effective this date, the compensat-
ion of said officer to cease on said date. Carried.
Moved by Trustee Coward, seconded by Trustee Bryson,,.John W. Henderson
be,appointed Marshal and Street Superinendent to hold office until the
further order of this Board, said official to receive a salary of $90.00
per month for the services rendered as City Marshal, as provided in Ofd -
inance No. 24 of the City of El Segundo, end to receive as compensation
for services rendered in the capacity of Street Superintendent, the sum of
020.00 per month, said salary to commence upon the filing of proper bond,
and to be payable monthly, as all other City salaries are payable. Carried
by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Bryson, Coward, and Rueger.
Noes: alone.
Absent: - Trustees Martin and Ward.
No further business appearing, it was moved by Trustee Coward, second-
ed by Trustee Bryson, that the meeting adjourn. Carried.
