1918 MAR 22 CC MIN1.74 El Segundo, Cal., March 22nd, 1918. An adjourned regula of El Segundo was called noon, on the above date, Trustees Present: Trustees Absent: r meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City to order in the City Hgll at 12:00 o'clock by Carl Ernest Rueger, President of the Board. Roll Call Coward, Liartin, Ward and Rueger. Smiley. Reading Linutes Previous Meeting. By general consent, reading minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. Architect Homer r'. Glidden was at the meeting and suggested to the Board, the advisability of installing a grated door in the entrance to the cell room in the City Hall. It was then moved by Trustee Martin and seconded by Trustee Ward, that a grated door door as recommended by the Architect is hereby requested and authorized upon the general contract for the cell room in the City Hall, at a cost not to exceed 060.00. The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Coward, Martin, Uard and Rueger. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee Smiley. Trustee Smiley appeared immediately after the above action, and took his seat, the hour being 12:05 P.M. ;roved by Trustee Smiley and seconded by Trustee Martin, that the City Clerk be and he is instructed to purchase one set of rooters for road roller at a cost not to exceed $25.00. The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Coward, Martin, Smiley, Ward and Rueger. Noes: None. Absent: Trustees None. Moved by Trustee Coward, seconded by Trustee Smiley, that the City Engineer be authorized to hire help as he requires it. The motion car- ried by the following vote: Ages: Trustees Coward, Martin, Smiley, Ward and Rueger. Moved by Trustee Martin, seconded by Trustee Smiley, that the foll- owing resolution be adopted: WHEREAS a certain map of Tract No. 3289 in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, has been submitted to this Board for approval, and WHEREAS the City Engineer has examined said map and has approved the same with revisions as recommended by the County Surveyor, NOW THMEFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the said map of Tract No.. 3289, be and the same is hereby approved by this Board, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to endorse the approval of this Board upon the same. The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees ZM�, Martin, Smiley, ?lard and Rueger. Noes: Trustee Coward. Absent: None. Loved by Trustee Smiley, and seconded by Trustee Ward, that the City Clerk be authorized to purchase an Ignition Battery for the Fire Engine, at a cost not to exceed $15.00. -The motion carried by the follow- ing vote: Ayes: Coward, Martin, Smiley, ,'lard and Rueger.
