1918 FEB 02 CC MINEl Segundo, Cal., 'February 2nd, 1918.
A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of 31
Segundo, California, was held in the City Hall of said City on the
above date, pursuant to call of the president and notice given each
Trustee of said City of the holdinc- of said meeting, in the manner
provided by law. Said meeting was called to order at 12:00 noon, by
Carl Ernest Rueger, president of the Board.
ROLL
Trustees present: Coward, Smiley, and Rueger.
Trustees absent : Martin and 7ard.
SPECIAL 0?Ma:l OF BUSINESS.
President Rueger then stated that the purpose of the meeting
was to exte -id to the rood -Roads I..achinery Co. and the Austin -',Vest ern
Road I.:ac._inery , additional time in which to make delivery of the
road equipment heretofore contracted for with these firms.
A letter from the rood =.oads Liachinery Co., in which they stated
that owing to circumstances beyond their control, they would be unable
to hake deliver -? of the 'eating Kettle within the required time limit,
and asking,, for a fifteen day extension of same, was read.
It was then roved by Trustee Smiley, and seconded by Trustee
Cove >rd, that the Tood Roa ds i'achinery Co., and the Austin-Western
Road :.:achinery Co., be granted an extension of time, to and inclusive
of the 18th day of.February, 1918, to deliver to the City of yl Segundo,
the machinery and equipment to be furnished said city by the respective
Companies, as per awards of said Board of Trustees made by Resolution
on the 12th day of December, 1917..The motion_ carried by the following
vote:
res : Trustees Coward, Smiley and Rueger.
hoes: Tone.
Absent: Trustees Iuartin and ;lard.
There being no further business, it was moved by Trustee Smiley,
and seconded by Trustee Coward, that the meeting adjourn, and the
motion carried.
