Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo,
was held on the above date in the City Hall, President Rueger in the chair,
called the same to order at 7 :40 o'clock-P.M.

Trustees Presentt Coward, Martin, Smiley Ward and Rueger.
Trustees Absent. None.
MINUTES PREVIOUS NZETING.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read without error or ommiss-
ion being noted. The motion of Trustee Coward seconded by Trustee Ward,
that the same be approved, was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Coward, Diartin, Smiley, Ward and Rueger.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
WRITTEN COL ��'UNI CATIONS .
A petition requesting the Board to reject applications for Pool Room
licenses was read, together with the amended applications of Wm. Woodard.
and L'. P. Hanton.
-Application to operatizz automobile bus was received from J. C. Abehier.
motion by Trustee Smiley seconded by Trustee Martin, that the above
be filed, carried.
ORAL CO ZONI CATIONS.
Mr. Ernest A. Willcox, Civil Engineer, presented tothe Board for app-
roval, map of an acre to be divided. Having determined that the division
would in no way effect streets or any of the city's property, Trustee Martin
introduced and moved the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas:a certain map of Acre 2 in Block 100 of the City of E1 Segundo,
County of Los Angeles, California, has been submitted tothis Board for
approval, and
Whereas this Board has examined said map JThere being no City Engineer
or City Planning Commission for the City of E1 Segundo) and
�'lhereas it appears that the said map is satisfactory in all particulars
to this Board,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the said map-of said Acre 2 in Block
100, be, and the same is hereby approved by this Board, and the City Clerk
is hereby directed to endorse the approval of this Board upon the same. j
The resolution was adopted by the following vote: (seconded by Smiley)
Ayes: Trustees Coward:, Martin, Smiley, Ward and Rueger.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
1dr. H. D. Foster, Mrs. Jay Smith and -fir. Nottage, in the order named,
voiced their objections to the granting of Pool Room Licenses.
11r. L. J. Oakes requested the Board to consider the drafting of a
curfew ordinance.
UNFINISHED 3USIIIESS.
Trustee Smiley introduced and moved the adoption of the following
resolution:
RESOLVED that the official seal of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
shall have thereon the words 'E1 Segundo,
California, Incorporated January 18th, 1917,
Home of Standard Oil Company's Big Refinery',
and shall be in the form as set forth in the
impression upon the paper immediately to the
left of this resolution.
Trustee martin seconded the motion, and the
resolution was passed by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Coward, Lartin, Smiley,
Ward and Rueger.
Noes : ITone.
Absent: None.
Trustee Smiley introduced Ordinance No.11, entitled:
