Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo
was called to order at 7 :30 11.1'. on the above date, in the City Hall,
with President Rueger in the chair.
The City Clerk being absent on leave of absence, the chair appoint-
ed Trustee Coward Clerk pro tem, and he immediately took up the duties
of Clerk.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees present: Coward, 1..-artin, Smiley and Rueger.
Trustees absent: Ward.
Reading 11inulies Previous Eleeting.
The minutes of the previous were read, no errors of omissions be-
ing noted, it was moved by Trustee Lartin, seconded by Trustee Smiley
that they be adopted. Carried.
VIRITTE11 CO=ITICATIONS.
From Frankel & Frankel accompanying a map showing the ground they
proposed to deed to the city as an extension of Ooncord Street.
From the Pacific Electric Ry. Co., correcting the charge for un-
loading a car load of rock for the City.
From F. Joyner of the County Road Department, enclosing a deed to
the city for a certain portion of Ballona Ave.
ORAL CO=ICATIONS .
J. Elwell stated that cans and other rubbish had not been
properly collected in the Eastern end of the City, It develoved that
the residents in that section of the city had not been placing their
rubbish where convenient for the dollector to get the same, and Mr. El-
well was advised to have them gathered up and placed in boxes or barrels
and left where they could be picked up without any trouble.
REPORTS OF STAndING COMUTTEES .
Trustee Smiley,fer the Public Works Committee, reported that he had
been unable to obtain the required road machinery on aocount of Inglewood
and Redondo having theirs in use.
None.

Un finished Business.
Trustee Smiley introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
Resolved that the deed from the Los Angeles Trust & Savings
Bank, to the City of E1 Segundo, to that certain portion of Ballona Ave.,

and bearing data of - -a, S__ I l" be and the same is hereby accepted,
on behalf of said city, and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to file
said deed for record.
Trustee !artin seconded the motion and the resolution was adopted
by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Coward, 1.iartin, Smiley & Rueger.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee ,'lard.
Letter from Frankel and Frankel was referred to the City Attorney
for consideration.
