'_regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of -El Segundo
was called to order in the City fall at 7 :30 o'clock P. on the above
date by President Rueger. -
ROLL CALL.

Trustees absent: Coward and Ward.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read without error or oniss-
ion being noted and u'-on motion of �'rust.ee Smiley seconded by Trustee

?roposal was received from D. C. Le.ris, to clear up all cans, bottles,
papers, boxes, rags, sacks and eneral rubbish in the City for the sum of

be awarded contract for the clean -up of cans, bottles, papers, boxes, rags,
sacks and �ereral rubbish, as per his bid, for the sum of X35.00.

President Rueger remarked that the dogs in the city were quite a nuis-
ance and that many were running in the streets without having license tags
attached. The .arshal was then instructed to compel every dog owner to
secure a license as provided in the ordinance.
President ?ueper remarked also concerning the operation of slot
nachines in the city. These devices being in disfavor with the Board, the
-- arshal was instructed to request those operating them to discontinue.

$50.85. Moved by Trustee Smiley, seconded by Trustee Martin, that the same
be allowed and warrants drawn for same. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Martin, Smiley and Rueger.
