Chair Wagner called the El Segundo Planning Commission meeting to order at CALL TO ORDER
7:00 p.m. in the El Segundo City Hall's Council Chambers, 350 Main Street, El
Segundo, California.
Commissioner Baldino led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
PRESENT: WAGNER, BALDING, and NEWMAN
ABSENT: FELLHAUER and BARBEE
None.
Chair Wagner opened the Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman.

Commissioner Baldino moved, seconded by Commissioner Newman, opened MOTION
and continued the Nomination for Chairman and Vice -Chairman to the March
24th meeting. Motion carried (3-0).
Chair Wagner presented the Consent Calendar. CONSENT CALENDAR

CONSENT
Commissioner Newman moved, seconded by Commissioner Baldino, to approve MOTION
the February 24, 2011, Minutes. Motion carried (3-0).
None.
WRITTEN
COMMUNICATIONS
Chair Wagner presented Agenda Item 1-2, Environmental Assessment No. EA- NEW BUSINESS —
910 and Administrative Use Permit No. 11-04. To allow the sale of beer and wine PUBLIC HEARING for
for on -site consumption (Type 41 Alcoholic Beverage Control License) at a new EA-910 and AUP 11-04
restaurant (Ragin Cajun). Applicant: Ragin Cajun Cafe, Inc. c/o Stephen
Domingue. Owners: PES Partners, LLC. Address: 2005 East Park Place (Plaza
El Segundo).
Planning and Building Safety Director Greg Carpenter presented the staff report
(of record.)

Mr. Domingue gave a brief statement about the project and stated that he is
available to answer questions.

Commissioner Newman moved, seconded by Commissioner Baldino to receive MOTION
and file Environmental Assessment No.910, Administrative Use Permit No. 11-04.
Motion carried (3-0).
Chair Wagner presented Agenda Item 1-3, Environmental Assessment No. EA-
888 and Administrative Use Permit No. 10-08. An Administrative Use Permit to
allow the placement and construction of a maximum of five monument signs
exceeding six feet in height within the Kilroy Airport Center, which encompasses
approximately 5.76 acres. Applicant: Aref & Associates c/o Kenneth Farrell.
Owners: Kilroy Realty Finance Partnership, L.P. Address: 2240-2260 East
Imperial Highway.
Planning Manager Kimberly Christensen presented the staff report (of record.)
Richard Mount, Vice President of Construction for Kilroy Realty
Mr. Mount gave a brief statement about the project and stated that he is
available to answer questions.
Commissioner Newman inquired about the length of time for completion of the
project.
Mr. Mount stated that it would be approximately nine months.

Commissioner Newman moved, seconded by Commissioner Baldino to receive MOTION
and file Environmental Assessment No. 888, Administrative Use Permit No. 10-
08. Motion carried (3-0).

CONTINUED BUSINESS
Planning and Building Safety Director Greg Carpenter stated that there are three REPORT FROM
items scheduled for the March 24h meeting. He stated that there would be a PLANNING AND
modification to the Equinix project, presentation regarding the South Bay Bicycle BUILDING SAFETY
Plan and an item to amend the Planning Commission rules to change the time of DIRECTOR
the Planning Commission meeting to 5:30 p.m.
Chair Wagner stated that the Tree Musketeers would be holding the annual Arbor PLANNING
Day tree planting on March 12, 2011. Mr. Wagner stated his concerns about COMMISSIONERS
mobile food trucks in El Segundo. COMMENTS
Commissioner Baldino stated that the El Segundo PTA Run for Education will be
held on March 26th
Chair Wagner adjourned the meeting. Motion carried (3-0). OTHER BUSINESS
