December 10, 2009
Chairman Wagner called the El Segundo Planning Commission meeting to order CALL TO ORDER
at 7:00 p.m. in the El Segundo City Hall's Council Chambers, 350 Main Street, El
Segundo, California.
Chairman Wagner led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. PLEDGE TO FLAG
PRESENT: WAGNER, FELLHAUER, BALDING, FUENTES and NEWMAN ROLL CALL

COMMUNICATIONS
Chair Wagner presented the Consent Calendar CONSENT CALENDAR
Vice Chair Fellhauer pulled Item E-2 requesting that the November 12, 2009, CALL ITEMS FROM
Minutes record reflect that she visited the 1661 Franklin Avenue site and that she CONSENT
commended the operator on how well he ran his establishment and how clean it
was.
Commissioner Fuentes moved, seconded by Vice Chair Fellhauer, to approve MOTION
the September 10, 2009, Minutes. Motion carried (5-0).
Vice Chair Fellhauer moved, seconded by Commissioner Fuentes, to approve MOTION
the November 12, 2009, Minutes. Motion carried (5-0).
None.
Planning and Building Safety Director Carpenter stated that there will be two
items scheduled for the upcoming Planning Commission meetings on January
14, 2010.
Planning Manager Kimberly Christensen stated that she attended the
Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) board meeting today which had two items
on the Agenda that are of concern to the City of El Segundo. She stated that
the MTA discussed light rail or heavy commuter rail line alternatives for the
Harbor Subdivision project. She stated that a proposed rail maintenance yard in
El Segundo was eliminated from the Crenshaw Corridor Transit project.

Commissioner Newman encouraged the public to attend the Chamber Parade on
Sunday.
Commissioner Fuentes wished everyone a Merry Christmas and thanked the
Mayor and City Staff for preparing a letter to the MTA Board regarding
eliminating the rail maintenance yard and to the MTA Board for their vote to
eliminate the rail maintenance yard today.
Chair Wagner wished everyone Happy Holidays and encouraged the public to
help the El Segundo Fire Department with there Annual Spark of Love Toy Drive
to help needy kids.
None.
Chairman Wagner adjourned the meeting. Motion carried (5-0).
The meeting adjourned at 7:07 p.m.
