Chair Fellhauer called the El Segundo Planning Commission meeting to order at CALL TO ORDER
7:00 p.m. in the El Segundo City Hall's Council Chambers, 350 Main Street, El
Segundo, California.
Chair Fellhauer led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. PLEDGE TO FLAG
PRESENT: FELLHAUER, BALDINO, WAGNER, NEWMAN and FUENTES ROLL CALL

Chair Fellhauer opened the Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman. ELECTION OF
CHAIRMAN AND VICE
CHAIRMAN
Commissioner Fuentes nominated Vice Chair Wagner as Chairman, seconded MOTION
by Chair Fellhauer. Motion carried (5-0).
Commissioner Baldino nominated Chair Fellhauer for Vice -Chairman, seconded MOTION
by Chair Wagner. Motion carried (5-0).
Chair Fellhauer presented the Consent Calendar. CONSENT CALENDAR
None. CALL ITEMS FROM
CONSENT
Vice Chair Fellhauer moved, seconded by Commissioner Fuentes, to approve MOTION
the February 12, 2009, Minutes, as amended. Motion carried (5-0).

Chair Wagner presented Agenda Item 1-2, Environmental Assessment No. EA- NEW BUSINESS —
809 and Adjustment No. 08-02. Applicant: Pete Moyer. Owners: John Giovanni. PUBLIC HEARING for

Assistant Planner Maria Baldenegro presented the staff report (of record.)
Commissioner Baldino moved, seconded by Vice Chair Fellhauer to receive and
file Environmental Assessment No. 809, Adjustment No. 08-02. Motion carried
(5-0).

Vice Chair Fellhauer moved, seconded by Commissioner Fuentes to receive and MOTION
file Environmental Assessment No. 817, Administrative Use Permit No. 08-07.
Motion carried (5-0).

PUBLIC HEARING
CONTINUED BUSINESS
Director Carpenter welcomed the new Planning Commissioner, Brenda Newman, REPORT FROM
and gave a presentation regarding Commissioner Rotolo in appreciation of his PLANNING AND
service and dedication to the Commission from 2006 to 2009. He stated that one BUILDING SAFETY
item will be scheduled for the upcoming March 26, 2009 meeting. DIRECTOR
The Commissioners welcomed the new Planning Commissioner Brenda Newman. PLANNING
COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Newman gave thanks to the City Council for the opportunity to COMMENTS
serve on the Commission.
