July 10, 2008
Vice Chair Wagner called the El Segundo Planning Commission meeting to CALL TO ORDER
order at 7:00 p.m. in the El Segundo City Hall's Council Chambers, 350 Main
Street, El Segundo, California.
Commissioner Baldino led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
PRESENT: WAGNER, FELLHAUER, FUENTES, and BALDINO
ABSENT: ROTOLO
None.
Vice Chair Fellhauer opened Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman.

Commissioner Fuentes nominated Commissioner Fellhauer as Chairman, MOTION
seconded by Commissioner Baldino. Motion carried (4-0).
Chair Fellhauer nominated Vice Chair Wagner for Vice -Chairman, seconded by MOTION
Commissioner Fuentes. Motion carried (4-0).
Chair Fellhauer presented the Consent Calendar.
CONSENT CALENDAR
Commissioner Fuentes requested that Item F-1 be pulled from the consent CALL ITEMS FROM
calendar to reflect that she had wished to abstain from voting rather that vote yes CONSENT
for her vote on the MEPS project at the June 26, 2008 meeting.
Commissioner Baldino moved, seconded by Commissioner Fuentes, to approve MOTION
the June 26, 2008, minutes as submitted. Motion carried (4-0).

COMMUNICATIONS
Chair Fellhauer presented Agenda Item 1-2, Environmental Assessment No. 792 NEW BUSINESS -
and Conditional Use Permit No. 08-02 projects. Applicant: Continental PUBLIC HEARING
Development Corporation — Alex J. Rose, Vice -President. Address: 2361
Rosecrans Avenue.
Principal Planner Paul Samaras presented the staff report (of record.)
Alex Rose, Vice President of Development with Continental Development
Mr. Rose introduced Brian Bennett, the principal with Paul Flemings restaurant,
to give the background on the restaurant and Bob Tarnofsky Director of Real

Estate, with Continental Development Corporation, to discuss what's being
created with the restaurant. He introduced the Paul Martins' design team and
stated that they would be available for any technical questions.
Brian Bennett. Principal with Paul Martin Bistro
Mr. Bennett gave a brief background on the bistro.
Bob Tarnofsky, Director of Real Estate. Continental Development
Corporation
Mr. Tarnofsky stated that this is the third restaurant on Rosecrans Avenue that
has a commonality with Paul Flemings, the founders of PF Changs and Paul
Flemings Steakhouse and that he is available for any questions.
Commissioner Fuentes commented that it's going to be a nice addition to El
Segundo.
Commissioner Baldino stated that he had the opportunity to view the website and
is going to appreciate the wholesome nature of the food.
Vice -Chair Wagner moved, seconded by Commissioner Baldino to approve MOTION
Environmental Assessment No. 792 Conditional Use Permit No. 08-02,
Resolution No. 2341. Motion carried (4-0).
None
Planning Manager Xim Christensen welcomed the new Planning Commissioner
Ryan Baldino.
Ms. Christensen stated that she will email the Commissioners regarding possible
dates for a training session before or after the July 24`h or August 10th Planning
Commission meetings and that there will be items scheduled for the July 24,
2008, and August 14th and 28'h meetings.
The Commissioners welcomed the new Planning Commissioner Ryan Baldino.
Commissioner Baldino gave thanks to the City Council for the opportunity to serve
on the Commission.
None.
Chair Fellhauer made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried (4-0).
The meeting adjourned at 7:17 p.m.
