Poetry Walk

Meets at the 600 block of West Imperial
between Loma Vista and Hillcrest
Join El Segundo Poet Laureate Kweku Abimbola and
Master Gardener Barbara Boland as they lead us on
short walk through Memory Tree Row.
Participants will observe nature while considering it
source of inspiration for creative work while learninc
about environmental restoration efforts of the Blue
Butterfly Conservancy group.
Kweku Abimbola will then lead participants through
brief journal exercise, dialogue and poetry writing
inspired by their observations of nature around them
Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook,
pens or pencils, a towel, beach blanket, or beach
chair to sit on, along with a light snack, bottled water
and wear comfortable shoes.
This event is FREE and welcomes all ages.
The Poet Laureate Program is funded by the City's
Cultural Development Program.
