SECOND AMENDMENT TO
AGREEMENT NO.6987 BETWEEN
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO AND
WILLDAN ENGINEERING
THIS SECOND AMENDMENT ("Amendment") to Agreement No. 2987 ("Agreement") is
made and entered into this 20th day of February, 2025, by and between the CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, a general law city and municipal corporation existing under the laws of
California ("CITY"), and Willdan Engineering, a California Corporation ("CONSULTANT").
The parties agree as follows:
Pursuant to Section 11 of the Agreement, Subsection A of Section 2 (Scope of
Services) is modified to augment the scope of service with the additional fire
marshal services as set forth in Attachment 1 of this Amendment.
2. This Amendment may be executed in any number or counterparts, each of which
will be an original, but all of which together constitutes one instrument executed on
the same date. In accordance with Government Code §16.5, the parties agree that
this Amendment will be considered signed when the signature of a party is
delivered by electronic transmission. Such electronic signature will be treated in all
respects as having the same effect as an original signature. CONSULTANT
warrants that its signatory (or signatories, as applicable) to this Amendment has the
legal authority to enter this Amendment and bind CONSULTANT accordingly.
3. Except as modified by this Amendment, all other terms and conditions of the
Agreement remain the same.

Subject: Proposal — Fire Marshal Consulting Services
Dear Chief Avery,
Consulting services include, but are not limited to:
• Guiding staff on the application and interpretation of codes and standards.
• Responding to public Fire code inquiries.
• Helping with alternative means & methods and practical difficulty requests.
• Conferring and attending meetings as necessary with the City's consultants, developers,
landowners, and contractors to represent the City's interests in planning, fire protection,
and fire prevention issues and activities.
• Being available for phone calls or meetings with the El Segundo Fire Department.
• Other duties as needed and agreed between DGA and the El Segundo Fire Department.
We propose to provide these services for a time and material hourly rate of $140 per hour. This
rate is good through December 31, 2025, and adjusted annually per the Consumer Price Index_
Mileage for In -person meetings will be at the current government published rate.
This proposal is valid, binding, and capable of acceptance by the El Segundo Fire Department
for 90 days from the date of submittal.
