Subject: Item 20 on Sept. 3rd City Council Agenda
Dear City Council,
Hi!
My name is Cheryl and I live on Kansas Street. I understand that tonight you will be looking at
Preferential Parking Zone 3 and making some adjustments, per line item 20 under Lance's report.
Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the meeting in person, but I wanted to share my experience
with the new parking permit program.
I have wholeheartedly enjoyed pulling out of my driveway and being able to see down the street
both ways. I am grateful for the lack of congestion, which leads to increased safety, especially since
I am across the street from the park. I have also enjoyed having parking for guests to my house. I
have relished not calling ESPD to report suspicious cars.
I am truly appreciative of the parking permit program on our streets. I feel that it has made a
difference. I would like to request that the permit stay in place as a long term solution for our
area.
Thank you for granting us this request,
Cheryl
