Regards, Art LaValle 434 Kansas Street June 6, 2024 To: City of El Segundo From: Byron and Teri Hogoboom Subject: Permit Parking Signage on Pine Avenue between Washington Street and Kansas Street City Council Members, We are residents of El Segundo and live at the corner of Washington Street and Pine Avenue (501 Washington Street). Our home falls within the permit pilot program for Zone 3 that began implementation 5/1/2024. The block of Pine Avenue between Washington and Kansas Streets was omitted from permit signage for reasons unknown to me. This block has repeatedly experienced problems with people coming from out of the area to park their vehicles, be picked up by an Uber/Lyft and head somewhere for extended stays, 2-4 days at a time. This area also experiences people parking for 8-10 hours per day to walk to an unknown location(s) adjacent our neighborhood. It looks as though they are going to work; carrying bags, backpacks, lunches, etc. Please consider this a formal request to place permit parking signage on Pine Avenue between Washington Street and Kansas Street. Should you have questions regarding this request you may reach us at teri.hogoboom@gmail.com. Thank you, i r Byron and Teri Hogoboom 501 Washington Street ElSegundo
