The city would like to utilize public relations to grow awareness of the firm to the commercial real estate industry. Potential Key Messa es for Commercial Real Estate Media • El Segundo is a premier Southern California city for expanding and relocating businesses because of its access to labor, geographic location, housing and amenities. • El Segundo is one of the most business -friendly cities in Southern California, the West Coast and across the United States. • El Segundo is home to several industry leading companies including AT&T, Davita, Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Times, Mattel and Spectrum, among others. • El Segundo continues to experience a commercial real estate evolution with several office properties recently completed, currently under construction and in the planning stages from the area's premier developers. Objective • To build local, regional and national awareness of El Segundo as a premier demographic, geographic and economic location for businesses. • To build local, regional and national awareness of El Segundo officials as premier thought leaders and business -friendly advocates for city growth. _Media Targets Following is a sample list of publications that we will target to build awareness of the City of El Segundo. • Los Angeles Business Journal • Los Angeles Times • Daily Breeze • Bisnow Los Angeles • Bloomberg News • Chain Store Age • Commercial Observer Los Angeles • Commercial Property Executive • Connect Media • Costar News • Curbed LA • Globest.com • National Real Estate Investor • Real Estate Forum • Rentv.com • Shopping Center Business • Shopping Centers Today • Spectrum News 0 The Real Deal Los Angeles • UncoverLA • Urbanizel-A • Wall Street Journal • Western Real Estate Business Agreement No. 5808D Public Relations Strategies Media Relations: On an ongoing basis, we will proactively and reactively secure media interviews for the City of El Segundo with local, regional and national reporters who are writing stories about city growth. Estimated Budget: $500 per interview which includes pitching the selected El Segundo official to the publication, coordinating the interview and following up with the reporter. News/Press Releases: When it comes to press releases that involve a business coming to the City of El Segundo as well as development or investment, it is important to create awareness for the city in the media. For each news item or third -party press release, we will pitch media on interviewing someone from the City of El Segundo, using a prepared quote from the city or including the city in a story. Estimated Budget: $800 per pitch/press release City of El Segundo Press Releases: Ebeling Communications will work with the City of El Segundo to announce city news. For each press release (as agreed upon by both parties), we will compile information, draft the release, work with appropriate parties on edits and approvals of the press release, distribute the press release to appropriate media, and conduct proactive media follow up to encourage a feature on the city's news. Estimated Budget: $1,200 per press release ($800 if Ebeling Communications is only handling distribution and follow up) w Desk -side Media Meetings and Tours: Ebeling Communications will coordinate meetings and tours with reporters from local, regional, national and trade media outlets to discuss the City of El Segundo's growth, its economic development initiatives and how it is a opportune city for relocating and expanding businesses. The goal of these meetings is to position the City of El Segundo as a preferred demographic, geographic and economic destination for businesses. These meetings should take place in person to build the best rapport possible with the media. This leads to the City of El Segundo being top of mind when reporters need interview sources for stories and is also a great opportunity to pitch a profile on the city. Estimated Budget: $700 per meeting Closing Agreement No. 5808D Thank you for giving Ebeling Communications the opportunity to present a Public Relations Proposal.
