Subject: Fwd: Delivery Status Notification (Failure) - Hate Speech
Hello,
Am I blocked from sending emails to the city? Last night, I sent an email that I'm concerned there's
hate speech in town. I got a notice my email was blocked.
Yesterday, there was a riot in town and the City of El Segundo has been silent. The city needs to
denounce the riot and the hate speech. Zionism is the root of Judaism. Antizionism is Antisemetic.
This is hate speech and a threat to Jewish residence. The City of ES has been very vocal at speaking
out about other social justice issues, but silent on the rise of antisemitism. It's time to speak up before
this is normalized. The community needs to feel safe and that they can put out Chanukah decorations
knowing that the local government has their back.
Thank you,

Subject: Re: United Against Hate Event Tomorrow
I got a few responses on this but I didn't get an answer about who the speakers will be.
It matters who they are and what they intend to say.
Thanks for your prompt attention to this request.

City Council Members, I'd like to understand what's being done to ensure the safety of the
candlelight vigil event scheduled tomorrow at the central plaza.
I've included Christibelle from the DEI committee because it is organized by them.
Speakers are not specifically listed. Can you share who will be speaking?
I will do my best to be there tomorrow (I have to be in Irvine most of the day).
I am very concerned about the safety and security of the Jewish community in El Segundo and
I'm very interested to understand what the plan is to ensure that protests like today's do not
devolve into what happened today in the future with the violence (accosting Employees,
blocking rights of way and such), the rocks (which could easily be used violently and not just to
block the roadway) and vandalism.
Were arrests made (the media is reporting that no arrests were made - even for the vandalism)?
sincerely,
Michael Lipsey
