Subject: Note to City Council
Hi Eva .... thanks for arranging to read a note for ADM at the City Council
Meeting tonight. The note is copied/pasted below and a cleaner
version in Word is attached if you prefer to print it from there. You can
also had the note to the City Clerk for the record if the opportunity
presents itself. Let me know if you're OK with the content or would like
any additions or changes.
Thanks again...

My name is Richard Croxall, a 54 year El Segundo Resident and current
Board Member at The Zimmerman Automobile Driving Museum (ADM).
ADM has been located in El Segundo for the past 13 years and during
that time, we have developed a strong following not only within the
automotive community but as a destination attraction for a variety of
events such as car shows, weddings, galas, birthdays, business
meetings, educational programs, and El Segundo community gatherings.
A high percentage of our annual visitors are from outside the City of El
Segundo.
Here are some numbers from 2022:
Museum Attendees: 31,860
Museum Events: 71
Facility Rentals: 117
We are listed on several websites as a go -to place for recreation and
automobile history and events. In short, we are one of the cornerstone
institutions in contributing to El Segundo image and business attraction.
Our need for outside funding has become critical since our founder and
principal sponsor, Stanley Zimmerman, passed away last year and all of
his financial support was terminated at that time. At this point we are
facing an unsustainable financial future unless we are able to replace
the funding once provided by Mr. Zimmerman. We would sincerely
appreciate whatever financial assistance the City could provide.
