BENEFITS
The layout and feel of Recreation Park will remain
similar to current design.
Retain a sense of nostalgia for the community and
those who have grown up in El Segundo.
A phased approach allows the City to identify projects
based on needs and funding available.
The buildings retain their independence and will be
renovated to meet the specific needs of the user
groups (Teens, Seniors, children, etc.)

16 Discussion
Considerations:
• Use of Fields
• Consider converting Stevenson to
multi -use field
• Consider use of Brett outfields by
public (without rental/reservation)
• Consider sports use pilot program
at Washington Park
• Use of Courts
• Pickleball- Consider converting a
tennis court to a pickleball court
• Consider transitioning Volleyball
Court to a mixed use
Volleyball/Pickleball court
• Consider developing a "Resident
First" reservation policy
• Remove Lawnbowling and add
courts
