SECOND AMENDMENT TO
AGREEMENT NO. 5879 BETWEEN
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO AND
JOE MAR POLYGRAPH & INVESTIGATION SERVICES, INC.
THIS SECOND AMENDMENT ("Amendment") to Agreement No. 5879 ("Agreement") is
made and entered into this I` day of August 2022, by and between CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a
general law city and municipal corporation existing under the laws of California ("CITY"), and
JOE MAR POLYGRAPH & INVESTIGATION SERVICES, A CALIFORNIA
CORPORATION ("CONSULTANT"). The parties agree as follows:
Pursuant to Section 34 of the Agreement, subsection C of Agreement Section I
(Consideration) is amended in its entirety to read as follows:
"As additional consideration, CITY agrees to pay CONSULTANT a sum not to
exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) for CONSULTANT's services per
fiscal year. CITY may modify this amount as set forth below. Unless otherwise
specified by written amendment to this Agreement, CITY will pay this sum as
specified in Exhibit "A" which is incorporated in Agreement 5879."
2. The Amendment may be executed in any number of counterparts, each of which will
be an original, but all of which together constitutes one instrument executed on the
same date.
In accordance with Government Code § 16.5, the parties agree that this Amendment
will be considered signed when the signature of a party is delivered by electronic
transmission. Such electronic signature will be treated in all respects as having the
same effect as an original signature.
4. Except as modified by this Amendment, all other terms and conditions of the
Agreement will remain the same.
