The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, with certain statutory exceptions, can only take
action upon properly posted and listed agenda items. Unless otherwise noted in the Agenda, the
public can only comment on City -related business that is within the subject matter jurisdiction of
the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and items listed on the Agenda during the Public
Communications portion of the meeting. The time limit for comments is five minutes per person.
Before speaking to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, please state: Your name and
residence and the organization you represent, if desired. Please respect the time limits.
Members of the Public may also provide comments electronically by sending an email to the
following address, with a limit of 150 words and accepted up until 30 minutes prior to the meeting:

Depending on the volume of communications, the emails will be read to the Committee during
public communications.

D. DEI COMMITTEE RETREAT AGENDA
1. Learn/review concepts, practices and intentions in the field of Diversity, Equity and
Inclusion.
2. Review and recognize positive results that have occurred from DEI best practices in
other communities.
3. Develop guidelines to further DEI goals to include all people of the community in the
most equitable way.
