2021-08-27 DEI AgendaCITY OF ELSEGUNDO SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION (DEI) COMMITTEE AGENDA MEETING DATE: MEETING TIME: MEETING PLACE Friday, August 27, 2021 9:00 am — 1:30 pm El Segundo Public Library Community Room 111 W Mariposa Ave El Segundo, CA 90245 (Face masks/coverings are required to be worn inside City facilities) The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, with certain statutory exceptions, can only take action upon properly posted and listed agenda items. Unless otherwise noted in the Agenda, the public can only comment on City -related business that is within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and items listed on the Agenda during the Public Communications portion of the meeting. The time limit for comments is five minutes per person. Before speaking to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, please state: Your name and residence and the organization you represent, if desired. Please respect the time limits. Learn/review concepts, practices and intentions in the field of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 2. Review and recognize positive results that have occurred from DEI best practices in other communities. 3.
