Subject: City Council meeting - re: Hyperion
Thank you for holding Hyperion's, AQMD and Public Health's feet to the fire.
You brought up excellent salient points — which they did NOT seem to address with any actionable plans
Public entity held to a lesser standard than private entities (Chevron was the example)
Fence line monitoring NOW moving forward from an INDEPENDENT source
Reimbursements that are timely and finding ways to help those of limited means
AQMD had an abominable showing — all the onus is on us EVEN though we have proven day after day
our air quality is compromised — I have dialed 1-800 CUT SMOG so many times, like other residents but
since I am not AT my residence during the day — it cannot count — WHAT? *when I smelled it at the
airport and on our employee trams —they refused to take the report
Public health — no words
If private agencies ran like this — they would be out of business.
Good point that they offer a service with NO competition — with their extortion pricing and NOW THIS
GRIEF.
Hyperion needs an actionable plan — and NOW — agency to agency communication with full
transparency
I think it was summed up ... TRUST is lost. How does that get rebuilt? With action and transparency
Avery brought up a good point — ASK THE CITIZENS — and perhaps tonight with the last minute meeting
(really —who throws together something like this - last minute), which due to prior obligations I cannot
participate it
Nikia G was the Momma bear that really told them like it is as a single Mom — and with their lack of
closing the beaches, put her daughter at RISK. (AND she is out all that money$$$$)
They seemed to have only apologies and excuses — when what they need is an ACTIONABLE plan to
address each and every issue NOW!
Thank you again for representing our constituent —like I said initially— heads need to roll, and all they
seem to be doing in shirking responsibility.
Stepping off my soap box— and asking the Council to please don the BOXING GLOVES and enter the ring
with these (unaccountable) agencies.

PS —spoke with a real estate agent trying to sell a home in ES right now --- who in their right mind would
buy a home in STINK-segundo at this point. There is a lot of money riding on this and our quality of life
has truly been compromised.
