Uniform Crime Reporting Program (UCR)
Nationwide, cooperative statistical effort of nearly 18,000 law
enforcement agencies.
Part 1 Crimes: Generally considered more serious and are divided into
Property Crimes and Violent Crimes and further subdivided into eight
subcategories.
Part 2 Crimes: Contains 19 subcategories of crimes and are considered
less serious than Part 1 crimes.
